Program

Format of Program:

Participants are encouraged to submit a clinical case scenario in any of the four categories:

  • Clinical Electrophysiology with a focus on cardiac ablation; including endocardial, epicardial and hybrid approach
  • Cardiac Ablation and Intraprocedural Complexities
  • Cardiac Device Management
  • Left Atrial Appendage Management

A preformatted Power Point template will be provided to create your case scenario. All the cases submitted by the participants will then be reviewed by a panel of faculty judges. The cases can span the entire spectrum of EP and CTS with a major focus on cardiac ablation and device management along with clinical problem solving and differential diagnosis.

Case Presentation:

Each presenter will have 5 minutes to present their case scenario (up to 10 slides). The faculty will have questions on the case followed by discussion for the next 10 minutes. Questions will primarily be directed around the decision-making process and interpretation of the data obtained to provide appropriate treatment for the patient involved in the case. A judge from the panel will summarize the case with highlights and learning points on each case to close. A total of up to 32 cases will be discussed throughout the program with excellent discussion and expert commentary from world class faculty judges.

Access to Cases:

All cases will be recorded and archived on www.EPfinishingschool.com website with access provided to all the participants. For Fellows interested in publishing their cases, they will be published in the JAFIB-EP in a special online issue.

Case Presentation:

All of the fellows will be in the audience with the judging faculty on the podium. Each fellow will come up to the podium and present their case for 5 minutes allotted time (up to 10 slides). The faculty will have questions on the case followed by discussion for the next 10 minutes. The questions will primarily be around the decision making process and interpretation data obtained in the mean process in providing appropriate treatment for the patient involved in the case. A judge from the panel will summarize the case with highlights and learning points on each case at the end. A total of 36 - 40 cases will be discussed throughout the program with excellent discussion and expert commentary from world class faculty judges. 

Awards:

Top 5 case presentations will receive an award at the end of the program.
